Despite workdays, I have been feeling like a student again. It’s been surreal because I find myself constantly in the midst of assignments, rushing for deadlines, writing for hours straight - like I was doing my masters allover! It’s very familiar. And very weird. I half expect to look down from the computer to see my toes swell.
It is a good thing though, because I thrive on adrenaline and stress. And I’m okay with deadlines, as long as they do not clash with prison break season2. Still, I never thought I would find myself struggling not to sleep while standing up. I could very well make headlines – and I’m wondering if I should nap for seven minutes before I start the rushrushrush and end my day with another press conference tonight.
What I don’t understand is why PCs have to be held in a bar (because it is TERRIBLYNOISY and makes recording stuff vmuchharder). Apparently, everyone thinks it’s cool, and they get to hold cocktails in hand and get very high. It’s almost bizarre: I’ll be coming from tuition, which means there’s more in my remember-to-do list. I have to make sure I remember to dump my knacksack in E’s car, find something decently nice to change into and not waltz into the bar in my baggypants. Oh, and I’ll have to figure out who those korean actors are.
For what its worth, I’ll be spending the night pretending to look like I actually know what is going on and wishing I was in my pyjamas. The highlight? Wondering if cocktails before press conferences make a lethal combination.
