The weekend was a blast (it was good but it also involved a whole lot of fatigue and tiredness and toomuchalcohol). Surely this entry would have been very different if I had my camera with me. Or if I even bothered to take pictures of any kind. To capture moments. To post them up. To remember what happened after night ends and the day begins.
No such luck. Somewhere along the way, night turned into day and dinner took place at 3am in the morning. Di and I figured that if we were to stop and take pics each time something was worth capturing in stills, we’d be missing out on a whole lot more. So the camera was abandoned to enjoy the moment for what it was. Period.
AND: although the closing ceremony of the stadium leaves much to be desired and i had to disappoint my favouriteperson’s cheese&wineparty (i hope she knows ilovehervmuch), im glad getting stuck in the horrid jam saw gd company, free beer and german sausages. Surely it made up for the bad soundsystem and spore losing in soccer. bah!
so the weekend was literally one party to the next – from the family gettogether at kbox to yiwen’s birthdaybash at stjames (she took her first shot, and i can’t remember much that happened after that) to bringing guests to the beach and swimming in the sea by myself (i swear msians dont like the sun) all the way up till sunday night when my cousins came over for a slumber party (gasp!). All this despite a bad throat and notenoughsleep. I feel all of twentysix and aching.
I am in suffering today.
happybirthday wennie, cheryl, kenneth, welcome to spore sw, goodbye nationalstadium, delaney and danica.
