It’s amazing what time can do to you/where it can bring you to – Today as I sat by the pews (LM + VK got married!!), it occurred to me that while friends can come + go (sometimes) because life brings you through different rooms and stairwells and sometimes you go alone // and other times you might take different people along the journey with you – there will always be (a) memory or things that have happened in the past that make us who we are.

And for that, I am grateful that these things actually happened: testifytolove, singing + playing the guitar in the winter in your car, sillyhandsongs, pointingpictures and road trips. Oh, and we were queen of making up lyrics to Abba songs together. : )
When I was 18, LM, RD, Ruthie and a few others threw us a surprise birthday celebration. I don’t remember much now – time does that to you. hurhur. And so imagine my (pleasant)surprise one evening when I was clearing the bottom shelf of di’s room when something fell out. There were two pieces of writings (all in LM’s handwriting + ruthie’s scribbles here and there) – with a song called ‘the Dida tree’ and a series of questions for a Q+A game. I don’t even remember some of them (they definitely knew us v.well back then!) – But here are some of the qtns:

1. Which secondary school did they come from?
2. Who is born earlier and by how much?
3. What did they want to be when they were young?
4. What happened the last time they went snowboarding?
5. Who do they always play out after the appointment is confirmed? (!!harhar!)
6. What happened to Dawn during jacquichia’s fruit party birthday?
7. What did Zy let Di do during julycamp that year?
8. What is the name of the coc personality who borrowed a toy cow from Di? (!!)
9. What household item of theirs had mould growing in it?
10. What are their chinese names?
11. What do they think macdonald’s 50cents icecream taste like?

It’s absolutely hilarious.
