The heat – I can feel it rising (like ghosts) off the pavements and cement. We’re also celebrating daddy’s birthday this evening. Starting with eastcoast and seafood and silly things like bird’s nest and a massage.
Some scribblings from church:

It was children’s sunday today (jan would have loved it!) and I decided to commemorate the event by drawing a sundayschool teacher (he was sitting two rows infrontofme). It was a beautiful day – a children’s choir, pantomine-liked service, and a timely reminder that we don’t always have to understand everything allthetime. Aargh faitfaitfaith and trust. Plus a lump in my throat. All in all, I am reminded againandagain never to be immuned by the mysteries of god.

So continue to amaze me, please. Today I am grateful for: shoes, air-conditioning, void decks, toes on my feet, nissin noodles, wirelessnetworks. And coke freeze.
On a completely random note: I discovered that a lovely (taiwanese) pineapple tart has been named after me. Harhar. Thankyou fish for your grand observations.

I like this line – “I am reminded againandagain never to be immuned by the mysteries of god.”
