I am up early today. And I can hardly recognise October – it sounds erratic and/or hollow. Sometimes, I think the word october looks like an octopus, and has an awkward sounding ‘Ock’ or ‘Aught!’, as if it’s out to astound us, shock us. Still, today, I begin October soft and straight -
It has become a ritual of sorts to spend october saturdays and sundays alone (or doing silly, art things) since di has to head off to markexamscripts & I’ve become too lazy to travel anywhere/everywhere due to heat and humidity and highways. So I sit through today to sort and sift through my saturday heat on the couch. I cannot wait for the monsoon and swirling rain to be trapped in the drains.
However, there are plenty of (other) things that might be able to inspire/nudge and get me out of my pjs. The options are few, but we’ll try (for the sake of October). Maybe, just maybe: A nice icekachang +/or chai tao kwey (i liked carrotcaking with denice last fri!), airconditioned bludging, good strong whirring fans in vintage coffee shops, cool(ing) company, and a pair of singlet and shorts and slippers. Or I could just go to my neighbourhood store, rent a dvd, and bubbletea through the rest of my day.
[p.s// Oh oh oh. guess what.! 'Good Morning Sir' - the thenSBC show which made Chen Liping and Li Nanxing superfamous is on telly now. With dubbing, and curly hair and aiyoyo.!! harhar. I think Li Nanxing's real voice sounds better. : ) Afternoon midday reruns totally rock my socks off.]
