I bought two books for $5dollars each yesterday ~ from a very messy book bin in carrefour AT suntec. yumyum! ifeelgleeful! I don’t think I’ve ever read John Banville’s books before but I’ve always wanted to – and he won the bookerprize for The Sea. I can’t wait to find time (after blackeyedpeas + clickfive) to sit down and pick on it slowly (like eating steamed fish). itellyouasecret: I bought the book because of the first sentence – there’s something haunting + melancholic + despairing about his prose.
