blue is for you

woke up this morning and realised i should write here and doodle there (little bits of things, everyday) if for no other reason than to clear the dust from my ears and pull words, ideas, themes from my mind to keep the brain running + heart pondering. it’s like pulling a rabbit out of the hat, really. but the process tends to be more tedious than one would imagine.

today i wake to morning sounds of the ill – and i find myself working slower than i would have liked. last night, i slept on the floor. i like sleeping on floors. not too often, but every onceinawhile. somehow, they remind me of days with gate shutters and blue plastic bags. good days.

so this morning during breakfast (i don’t take breakfasts, but i took a handful of cornflakes), i came up with this silly idea to wrap myself in a doona like a human spring roll. im not sure why, but the thought of wrapping my head in clingwrap is wonderful and sublime. when one wakes up with a scratchy throat and mild headache, clingwrap seems like the the most cleverest of solutions to chase impending ailments away.
