Labour into rest

Amid the hustle and bustle of the wonderful holiday season, I must admit I’m eagerly awaiting a new year of rest! Oh what joy it is to receive the word of the new year this morning! God is good and He knows my heart (or what my body can take hurhur). Isn’t it wonderful to declare that 2010 will be a year of labouring into His rest?

Ohoohoh, I’ll also be moving come Jan-Feb (yay!) and am starting to source around for ideas to furnish my room Hurhur! SoooOoo it’ll be a great time to cherish the word of the season spoken (So Timely!). I can’t wait for biiiggg white comfy sheets + decor to inspire and refresh!

May the new year (and my new room) be a place of quiet moments and renewal!

Christmas Dress Up- Childhood Toys

Hi guys,

Hope you had a great christmas! And Happy Birthday Jesus! I had an amazing time with the family over the holidays and it was a great way to spend time together!  Hurhur. You see, we have a dress-up theme each year (it’s tradition) and we went with CHILDHOOD TOYS for 2009.

You can see our past Christmasses or other  fun dress-ups/ theme parties here:

2003: Our First Christmas Dress Up

(We skipped the next few years then decided to revive it again in 07!)

2007: Superhero & Villains

2008: Anything Christmas

2009: My twin sister’s old school wedding

I must say I was very very impressed with what my cousins made – Mr Potato Head apparently took one full day! The Etch-A-Sketch and Lego Block were apparently quite simple to make but uber fun to do and came out really well. My rubrik cube was SOOOooo tedious– (!) but thanks to Mom’s help, we managed to make the cube well within 3 hours hurhur.

Still,  it was all worth it! As we walked down the streets to our Christmas celebrations, there were kids who literally lit up and waved at us. Cars slowed down to shout festive greetings and others smiled as we said ‘Merry Christmas’. : ) It was all in good fun and it was nice to spread the cheer around.

Here’s to Christmas traditions (or  to making new ones)!

Hope you have a great time with family too!
