I love brunch. (!)
and birthdays hurhur.
So, Di and I met Esther at 1 Caramel on the first day of twentyten for a long overdue catchup. She even made us get a pot of Happy Birthday Tea (the blend is quite flowery + fruity)! We also had babysoft strawberry shortcake with fresh strawberries and vanilla cream. Ohoh plus a chocolate praline cake (!) with hazelnut that had a crunchycrust that meltsinyourmouth.
(Good times!)
The next day, I had brunch at the loveliest place ever! I have a fascination with brunch places and breakfast eateries that serve tea blends from allovertheworld so TWG was a real treat! There were marble floors and hardwood counters – + classic old world charm. (!)
The breakfast set I chose consisted of scrambled eggs with white alba truffle oil served with seared smoked salmon and brioche toasts (plus pastries, a humongous pot of French Earl Grey tea and orange juice!)! Indulgence.
What a perfect start to the new year!
