HELP

Dear Draw Something,

You are ruining my life.

And marriage.

Whenever my husband and I want to commmunicate, we Draw Something.

When I’m having a bad day and can’t seem to express myself (in words), friends tell me to Draw Something out of those feelings.

When I see an object on the street, I wonder what brushes and colours I should use from my virtual palette.

I have also cut my nails so that I can draw something on Draw Something with my finger tips.

I even introduced my mom to the game! Here she is trying to Draw Something on my phone. We have a problem now because she also wants an iPhone.

We need to do something about this. Soon.

Yours sincerely,

D.

My weeks in pictures

It has been awhile since I blogged.

Somehow, life took over. WhenI am not busy drafting stories, I am working on new projects, going on coffee dates, catching up with friends and spending time with my boys.

Oh, I have much to backlog and tell you about! But till then, here are some significant highlights in pictures:

1. (24-29 Jan) A spontaneous work trip to Korea, making new (styrofoam) friends and seeing snow!

2. Z and I finally embarked on a new project and many a great adventures!

3. (18 Feb) Attended a doggie carnvial with fellow pet lovers!

4. (21 Feb) Came home to a homecooked surprise — complete with candles, wine and vinyl playing in the background! #everydayisvalentine!

5. (5 March) Marshall gets neutered, but remains a very happy dog despite how he looks in this pic below!

Soya Sauce Chicken

I’m no brilliant chef, but I’ve been wanting to cook more this year.

Coincidentally, the husband and I have been watching a Hong Kong drama series (Bottled Passion/ 我的如意狼君) together, and the female protagonist runs a soya sauce factory and is a great cook! Ever so often, she’ll whip up her special soya sauce dishes and leave us reallyyyhungry.

Here is Tung Pun Sin (the main lead) eating the dishes that the main female lead prepares for him! Everything is steeped in soya sauce!

Anyway, the hubby and I were craving for soya sauce chicken after watching the series – so I prepared it for the season finale. Harhar. It turned out pretty well!

Backpost: Our 1st year wedding anniversary

The husband and I celebrated our 1st year anniversary in Paris! It was a complete coincidence, and not planned at all.

To commemorate the event, we decided to ditch michelin-star restaurants and fancyshmancy food places. Instead, we ran across the street in the cold (me in my PJs), and to buy takeaway from a nearby grocery shop. The plan was to get instant noodles and have a candlelight dinner in our apartment. (with Di and Raph!)

This is what we got!

Ta da!

I’m sure to remember the day in many years to come. And it was wonderful celebrating it with family. I still have fond memories of cycling in the cold and visiting the sites – but I must say we had the most fun in our little parisian apartment which we shared with my sis and brother in law!
